Fairview runs from 16th Avenue in the south, to Burrard Street in the west, to Cambie Street in the east, and to False Creek in the north. It is an important commercial and employment centre focused around Vancouver General Hospital and other health-related institutions, including the BC Cancer Agency, BC Cancer Research Centre, and the BC Centre for Disease Control. Fairview slopes, which runs North from Broadway down towards False Creek, offers spectacular city and water view from many homes and it central to almost all the Vancouver has to offer.

HIGHLIGHTS
The South Granville area that runs from 6th Avenue to 16th Avenue is a shopper’s dream. With high-end boutiques, contemporary art galleries and modern furniture stores, it is easy to spend an afternoon walking these streets. Chances are you will probably end up taking something home as well!
The newly completed Cambie corridor offers easy access to big box stores such as Home Depot, Best Buy, Canadian Tire and Home Sense, as well as Save-On-Foods and Whole Foods. With the soon to be running Canada line skytrain station here as well, both downtown and the Airport are easy commutes.

West on Granville. Consistently one of the best restaurants in Vancouver.
Best Lunch:
Earl’s Restaurant. Both of them. Reliable food with friendly service. Or Try Max’s Deli if you are looking for something quick and easy.
Best Dinner:
Tojo’s and Vij’s. Both have world renowned chef’s and fabulous dining experience.
Best Place to Grab a Drink After Work:
Bin 942 at Broadway and Granville is a fabulous tapas bar with a great wine list.
Best Takeout:
The Thai House. If you’re feeling adventurous, let them surprise you!
Best Late Night Eatery:
Death by Chocolate. Desserts that are to die for!
Best Coffee:
Steeps Tea House. Not technically coffee, but worth stopping in.
Nightlife:
Is just a 5 minute cab ride away! (downtown)
Shopping:
South Granville offers some of the best boutique and designer shopping in the city with an assortment of clothing, furniture and art stores offering fabulous finds. The ever evolving Cambie Street corridor offers you the Big Box alternatives with Home Depot, Best Buy, Canadian Tire, Winners, Home Sense and Save-On-Foods all within a block of each other.
Outdoor Activities:
Both Granville Island and Douglas Park are short walks, with both offering community centres, dog parks, tennis courts and more. The seawall along Granville Island is a wonderful place to walk or run.
